Am I wrong about asking for two months' rent deposit?
Hey everyone, I'm apartment hunting in GDL. Some landlords are asking for two months' rent as a deposit. Is this standard practice? I don't want to overpay or get scammed. Thanks for any advice!
Hey! Jaja, I hear you. In PV, two months isn't unheard of, sadly. Some places are more flexible though. Try asking if they'd take one month plus a larger last month's rent.

Ooh, that's a good idea! A bigger last month's rent instead of a second deposit. Smart thinking. I'll try that next time.
¡Jaja, qué buena idea la de Chris! Una renta extra al final suena mucho mejor. A ver si así me aceptan, ja.
Seriously, that's a genius workaround. A big final payment would be way easier than a second deposit. Hope it works for you!
Yeah, good tip! I've heard that trick before. Might save you some pesos.
Totally! Saving those pesos is key. It's a good strategy to propose.
Jaja, sí, dos meses es mucho, en GDL a veces piden eso también. Lo de un mes de depósito y el último más alto es buena idea. A ver si aceptan.
