Do Mexicans use coasters for drinks?

Hey everyone, I'm in Oaxaca and loving the vibes. I've noticed something funny though. When people have drinks, I rarely see them use coasters. Is this a thing? Or am I just not looking in the right places? I'm always worried about my tables back home, haha.

Jaja, qué buena pregunta. Aquí en el DF tampoco se ven mucho. Creo que es más por estilo, ¡casi nadie usa! O tal vez es que los muebles son más resistentes, quién sabe.

  Haha, maybe it's a "tropical" thing? Like, who needs coasters when your tables are already used to humidity? I'm in GDL, and I also rarely see them. Guess our furniture needs to be tougher here.

  You know, I haven't seen many in CDMX either. Maybe it's the "built-in water resistance" kind of furniture we all have here? Gotta love that low-maintenance lifestyle.
