Retiring Lakeside: Quiet Life & Healthcare Costs?

I'm starting to think seriously about retirement. Mexico's lakeside towns seem so peaceful. Does anyone have experience retiring in places like Chapala or Patzcuaro? What are healthcare costs like there? I'm looking for a slower pace of life.
