Güey vs. Órale: ¿Cómo sé cuál usar?

My Spanish is getting better, but I'm still confused by some slang. I hear 'güey' and 'órale' all the time here in Guadalajara. Sometimes they sound similar. Do you guys have any tips on when to use each one? Or is it just vibe-based? Lol.
