¿Es 'ahorita' una unidad de tiempo flexible?

I'm still getting used to Mexican Spanish. 'Ahorita' seems to mean so many things. Sometimes it's now, sometimes later. Am I wrong about this word?

Jaja, ¡exacto! 'Ahorita' es un rollo. Aquí en Monterrey lo usamos mucho. Creo que es más bien como "pronto" o "en un ratito". No te preocupes, te acostumbras.

  Lol, "nunca" is a good one! I've definitely felt that way too. It's funny how the meaning shifts, isn't it? Glad I'm not the only one trying to decode it.

Jaja, sí, justo eso. "Pronto" o "en un ratito" suena bien. A veces hasta creo que significa "nunca", ¡quién sabe! Pero sí, me voy acostumbrando.
