¿Es normal usar 'güey' todo el tiempo?

Hey everyone. I'm trying to sound more natural here in SMA. My Spanish is getting better, but slang is tough. I hear 'güey' used so much. Is it okay for me to use it too? Tbh I don't want to sound weird.

Jaja, sí, ¡se usa muchísimo! Aquí en la Riviera Maya también. Es como un "dude" en inglés. Úsalo con amigos, eso sí. Suena más natural, pero no en un ambiente muy formal.

  Haha, exactly! It really is the word for everything. You totally catch yourself saying it sometimes. Glad to hear CDMX is just as wild with it. "Catching on" is right!
