Lakeside towns: How do they compare for retirees?
I'm considering a move to a lakeside town in Mexico. Thinking about places like Chapala or others. What's the general vibe for retirees there? Are they generally quiet and friendly for older folks? Would love to hear experiences.
¡Hola!
Yeah, Chapala definitely has a big expat scene. Good to hear it's tranquil. A bit more expensive though, good to know for retirees. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, definitely. Prices do go up with all the Americans. It's not crazy expensive though. It's manageable if you're not looking for fancy stuff. You can find quiet spots.
Totally. That "gringo vibe" is real there. It's definitely chill though. Glad it sounds good for you.
That's good to know about Chapala. Does "mucho americano" mean a lot of expats? I'm looking for quiet but also friendly, so it sounds promising. Thanks for the heads up on cost.
