Neta, I love almost all Mexican food. But this one thing trips me out. Fried plantains. Why so sweet? Especially with savory dishes. Am I totally wrong on this?

Jajaja, te entiendo perfecto. Yo soy chilena y al principio me sacaba de onda. Pero ya les agarré el gusto. A veces sí son súper dulces, ¡pero están chidas con el mole o el pozole!
Jajaja, I get what you mean! It's funny how some things are totally normal here but can feel weird at first. I agree, they can be super sweet. But yeah, they really do work with mole or pozole. It's a wild combo sometimes.
