Work permit for freelancers: How long until it's processed?

Hey everyone. I'm thinking about moving to Mexico to work remotely as a freelancer. I'm trying to get my work permit. It feels like it's taking forever. Does anyone know the typical processing time for this? Any tips would be great, thanks!
